Casey was the only one of my grandma’s horses I was able to ride. He was smaller than the other two, so I wasn’t nearly as scared of him. He had the most grounding and calming energy, and I absolutely loved riding him. When I was with Casey, I felt like I could go anywhere because I trusted him and felt so safe. There was such a sense of peace in being on his back. In this piece, I wanted to explore that feeling of peace and safety, and what it feels like to carry those feelings within yourself.
